ACCELERATOR PEDAL REACTION FORCE IMPARTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD USED FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a desired additional reaction force to a driver from an accelerator pedal even when relation between the accelerator pedal and the foot of the driver is varied during operation of the accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: An accelerator pedal reaction force imparting device for a vehicle includes: a spring 6 for making an outer force to be imparted in the step-returning direction of the accelerator pedal larger in a case where the depressed amount of the accelerator pedal 100 operated by the treading force of the driver is large than in a case where the depressed amount of the accelerator pedal 100 is small; an accelerator pedal actuator 5 for imparting the outer force in the step-returning direction of the accelerator pedal 100 based on a traveling situation; an accelerator pedal operation amount sensor 3 for detecting the operation of the accelerator pedal 100; and a target pedal additional reaction force calculating part 23 for carrying out correction to make the outer force imparted by the accelerator pedal actuator 5 larger, in a case where the depressed amount of the accelerator pedal detected by the accelerator pedal operation amount sensor 3 is small, than in a case where the depressed amount of the accelerator pedal 100 is large.
