SOLUTION: The fuel cell system 101 includes a power generating part 5 with a plurality of cells laminated, a fuel supply part 4 for supplying fuel to the cells with a fuel supply volume adjustable, a voltage monitor 8 for monitoring output voltage of at least one specific cell 51 out of the plurality, a power supply part 13 temporarily supplying power to the specific cell, and a control unit 9 for detecting a voltage difference between the minimum value of the output voltage appearing after the power is supplied to the specific cell and a response value of the output voltage after the output voltage has hit the minimum and controlling a fuel supply volume in accordance with the voltage difference.
