Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a 2-substituted oxy-6-vinylnaphthalene, by which the 2-substituted oxy-6-vinylnaphthalene usable as a raw material for 2-hydroxy-6-vinylnaphthalene useful as a raw material for electronic materials, photo-related materials and the like can efficiently be produced. SOLUTION: This method for producing the 2-substituted oxy-6-vinylnaphthalene is characterized by applying a dealcoholization reaction to a 2-substituted oxy-6-(1-substituted oxy)ethylnaphthalene represented by formula (1) (wherein, R is a protecting group for a hydroxy group; Rais an aliphatic hydrocarbon group or an alicyclic hydrocarbon group).
