STEERING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure easily performing displacement absorption and attaching/detaching work of the device, in a universal joint of a hydraulic power steering device having a tilting mechanism. SOLUTION: The steering device includes a steering shaft 5 rotatably supported in a steering column 3, an input shaft 10 of a hydraulic power steering device 9 jointed to the lower end of the steering shaft 5 through a universal joint 7, and a tilting mechanism for fixing the steering column 3 in such a manner that the tilting direction is adjustable in the back-and-forth direction of the vehicle body. The input shaft 15 of the universal joint 7 is connected to the lower end of the steering shaft 5 immovably in the rotating direction and the axial direction. The hydraulic power steering device 9 is fixed to the vehicle body 8, and the output shaft 16 of the universal joint 7 is connected to the input shaft 10 immovably in the rotating direction and movably in the axial direction.
