INKJET PRINTER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of band stripes without changing the moving speed of an inkjet head and resolution, even when the actual transfer speed of a drawing command transferred from an external device is slower than the required transfer speed of the drawing command required for performing drawing by an inkjet printer. SOLUTION: The control section 30 of the inkjet printer 1 includes: a drawing control section 31 allowing media M to draw an image, etc., based on the drawing command; and a moving width changing section 32 changing the moving width of a head unit 13, based on the comparison of the actual transfer speed of the drawing command transferred from the external device and the required transfer speed of the drawing command required for performing drawing by the inkjet printer 1. The moving width changing section 32 changes the moving width of the head unit 13, to make it wide, when the actual transfer speed is slower than the required transfer speed and changes the moving width of the head unit 13, to make it narrow, when the actual transfer speed is faster than the required transfer speed.
