METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COATING MICROCAPSULES-CONTAINING COATING AGENT, AND COATED SHEET MANUFACTURED BY THE COATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which forms a coating having a reduced defect such as uneven coating or coating streaks on a substrate and having a substantially uniform thickness, using a coating apparatus including a slot die, even if using a highly viscous coating material mixed with a high concentration of microcapsules, and to provide the coating apparatus and a coated sheet manufactured by the coating method. SOLUTION: The coating method includes coating the coating material containing the microcapsules, a binder, and a solvent on the substrate, using the coating apparatus including a slot die, wherein the coating material has a viscosity of 200-2,500 mPa s at a sheer rate of 10s-1, and a slot die has a land having a space volume relative to the particle diameter of the microcapsule of 40-450 mm2per 1 mm injection width. The coating apparatus includes the slot die used for the coating method. The coated sheet has the coating containing the microcapsules and the binder on the substrate.
