FIRE EXTINGUISHING PUMP SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FIRE EXTINGUISHING PUMP UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable fire extinguishing pump unit for stably supplying water when a fire occurs. SOLUTION: A fire extinguishing pump system includes: a fire extinguishing pump for supplying water from a water source to sprinklers arranged in respective floors on a demand side via water supply pipes; an electric motor for driving the fire extinguishing pump; an inverter for driving the electric motor; a pressure detecting means for detecting pressure on the discharge side of the fire extinguishing pump; discharge signal originating means arranged in the water supply pipes so as to transmit signals which indicate that the sprinklers are operated; a target pressure setting means for setting target pressure from piping resistance curved lines, which are previously obtained by each floor, based on the signals of the discharge signal originating means; and a frequency control means for outputting a frequency command signal to the inverter so as to allow the pressure detected by the pressure detecting means to be the target pressure set by the target pressure setting means, and controlling the frequency of the pump.
