Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging system capable of supplying an optimum power through a voltage converter in response to the state of a low-voltage battery even during a vehicle traveling. SOLUTION: The charging system includes a generator 20 generating power by at least one of a power from an internal combustion engine 10 and a kinetic energy at braking, a first battery 50 charged by a generated output from the generator 20, a second battery 60 charged by at least one of the generated output from the generator 20 and the power from the first battery 50, a vehicle equipped electric load 70 connected to the second battery 60, and a current detector 60a detecting the charge-discharge current of the second battery 60. The charging system further includes a voltage converter 40 with the generator 20 and first battery 50 connected to the input side and the second battery 60 and vehicle equipped electric load 70 connected to the output side for voltage conversion between the input side and the output side, and an ECU 80 controlling the voltage converter 40. The ECU 80 controls an output voltage from the voltage converter 40 so that a target current determined in response to the state of the second battery 60 and a charging current detected by the current detector 60a are equal to each other.
