SOLID-STATE IMAGING DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device which suppresses moisture permeation and also suppresses separation of an adhesive layer for fixing a substrate having a solid-state imaging element and a transparent protection plate for protecting the solid-state imaging element. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device is provided with at least: a solid-state imaging element formed on a surface of a substrate; a transparent protection plate for covering the solid-state imaging element; an adhesive layer formed on the surface of the substrate other than an area where the solid-state imaging element is formed for fixing the substrate and the transparent protection plate; and light-transmitting protection films for covering the upper part of the solid-state imaging element and the surface of the substrate under the adhesive layer. The light transmitting protection film for covering the upper part of the imaging element and the light transmitting protection film for covering the surface of the substrate under the adhesive layer are separated on the surface of the substrate between the lower part of the adhesive layer and the solid state imaging-element formation area under the transparent protection plate.
