Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED light source capable of accurately mounting a package for mounting a light emitting diode chip on a mounting board, while reducing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: An LED light source 10 includes a package 2 having a light emitting surface 2a and a mounting board 3 having a main surface 3a on which the package 2 is mounted. A predetermined side 2b continuous to the light emitting surface 2a of the package 2 is directed toward the main surface 3a of the mounting board 3 so that the light emitting surface of the package 2 is perpendicular to the main surface of the mounting board 3.
