FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having a separation claw member capable of uniformly coming into contact with the peripheral surface of a fixing roller even if a housing thermally deforms, and an image forming apparatus having the fixing device. SOLUTION: This fixing device 13 includes the fixing roller 132 for fixing a toner image on paper, the separation claw member 30 that comes into contact with the paper P and strips the paper P from the fixing roller 132, an energizing member 31 for energizing the separation claw member 30 to bring the separation claw member 30 into contact with the peripheral surface 132b of the fixing roller 132, and the housing 32 having the separation claw member 30. The separation claw member 30 includes a claw section 33 having a tip surface 37a that extends along the longitudinal axis of the fixing roller 132 and comes into contact with the peripheral surface 132b of the fixing roller 132, a bearing section 39 that extends in parallel with the longitudinal axis and bears the claw section 33, and a point contact section 35 positioned on the opposite side to the tip surface 37a on both sides of the bearing section 39.
