CELL SORTER, AND SAMPLE SORTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell sorter capable of selectively sorting a target sample without imparting large damage, and a sample sorting method. SOLUTION: A control part 28 judges whether a measuring sample S is the target sample on the basis of the optical data obtained by an optical unit 14 and an analyzing part 22 when the measuring sample S passes through a laser beam irradiation region R1, a liquid jet part 26 is driven in the reaching timing of the measuring sample S judged to be the target sample to a predetermined position R2 and the measuring sample S judged to be the target sample and the measuring sample S is deflected in its flow by the collision of the liquid L jetted from the liquid jet part 26 with the measuring sample S in a solution to be housed in a recovery container 32.
