INFRARED TYPE HUMAN BODY DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared type human body detector widely coping with various kinds of causes such as popcorn noise, changes in surrounding environment, and preventing erroneous detection. SOLUTION: The infrared type human body detector 1 is provided with: an infrared sensor unit 10 for detecting infrared radiation energy in a predetermined detection area, and outputting a voltage signal corresponding to the infrared radiation energy; a control part 20 for distinguishing movement of a human body based on the voltage signal. In the control part 20, a plurality of threshold voltages for distinguishing movement of a human body are set beforehand, and the control part starts measuring a time duration at the point of time when the voltage signal has passed one threshold voltage, as a reference, and distinguishes movement of a human body, based on a measured time up to the time of passing another threshold voltage.
