Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired cross-sectional secondary moment by suppressing the cross-sectional deformation of a steering member body and improving a steering support stiffness, to suppress increase of the thickness or outer shape of the steering member body, to reduce machining cost and then facility cost by decreasing parts of welding performed on the steering member body, and to suppress the thermal distortion of the steering member body. SOLUTION: A bracket bulkhead 8 is inserted in the inside of the steering member body 1, and the bracket bulkhead 8 is positioned at a steering supporting part 1c to which a steering support bracket 4 in the steering member body 1 is installed. An outer peripheral end portion of the bracket bulkhead 8 is adhered to an inner peripheral wall of the steering member body 1 by a welding portion 10 for mounting the steering support bracket 4 to the steering member body 1.
