Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus of hopping direct recording method which can suppress the unevenness of image density more than before. SOLUTION: Nearby the upstream side end of the toner carrying direction in a hole forming region wherein a plurality of through holes 14Y in a circuit board 10Y have been formed in the space between the bending surface of a cylindrical part 31Y in a toner carrying sleeve and the circuit board 10Y, there are provided an approach inhibition electrode 13Y for restraining the toner from approaching the through hole 14Y and an approach inhibition power supply 92Y which applies an approach inhibition voltage of the value higher than the average potential per unit time of periodic pulse voltage for hopping to the approach inhibition electrode 13Y in the charging polarity side of the toner.
