SOLUTION: This polyester film for solar cell contains, as a main constituent, polyester obtained through polymerization using a polycondensation catalyst containing aluminum and/or its compound and a phosphorous-based compound having an aromatic group in the molecule, wherein carboxyl terminal concentration is ≤25 eq/ton with respect to polyester, and intrinsic viscosity (IV) of the film is 0.60-0.90 dl/g.
