Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article monitoring system, an article monitoring method and an article monitoring program that can be installed easily and inexpensively and prevent articles from being stolen. SOLUTION: The article monitoring system 1 includes an antenna 11, a transmitting and receiving unit 12, an incoming direction detector 13, a variation detector 14, an alarm unit 15, and a location information storage 16. An article as a monitoring target is regarded as an object A, to which an RF tag 2 is affixed. The object A is disposed in a prescribed area R1, which is a region where radio waves of the antenna 11 can be transmitted and received. The transmitting and receiving unit 12 supplies the RF tag 2 with electric power by radiating radio waves, and receives radio waves radiated from the RF tag 2. The incoming direction detector 13 detects the incoming direction of the radio waves radiated by the RF tag 2. The variation detector 14 causes the incoming direction detector 13 to perform detections of the radio waves radiated by the RF tag 2 at least twice, and thereby detects variation in the incoming direction of the radio waves.
