Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiseptic bactericide which contains a reduced amount of parabens traditionally used for an antiseptic bactericide and yet exhibits strong antimicrobial power by enhancing antimicrobial activity of parabens, and a cosmetic composition which includes a reduced amount of parabens and is highly safe. SOLUTION: The antiseptic bactericide is produced by combination of at least one of the parabens and 1, 2-octanediols, and the cosmetic composition includes the antiseptic bactericide.
