SOLUTION: The method of producing a compound shown by general formula (2) comprises as follows. Under the presence of a metal catalyst which contains at least one metal atom chosen from the group consisting of palladium, platinum and nickel, a compound shown by general formula (1), wherein R denotes a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon group, and R1denotes a hydrocarbon group is made to react with hydrogen.
