UMBRELLA STAND FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella stand for a vehicle facilitating attachment/detachment of an umbrella without causing dropping off of the umbrella during travel of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In this umbrella stand 17 arranged in an instrument panel 13, a supporting hole 18a for fitting the umbrella U therein and a guide groove 18b continued from the supporting hole 18a to the end edge of a supporting part 18 are formed in the supporting part 18 arranged substantially horizontally. Therefore, only by the operation of moving the umbrella U horizontally in a vertical attitude, allowing it to pass the guide groove 18b, and fitting it in the supporting hole 18a, the umbrella U can be held in the supporting part 18. When a door 21 is closed in this condition, the side face 21a on the vehicle compartment side of the door 21 faces on the open end of the guide groove 18b of the supporting part 18, therefore, even when the umbrella U enters on the guide groove 18b side from the supporting hole 18a by any possibility, it is blocked by the side face 21a on the vehicle compartment side of the door 21, and prevented from dropping off from the supporting part 18 and falling down. Since the umbrella stand 17 includes a cylindrical side wall part 19 with a slit 19c, it can be also used as a cup holder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
