APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PURIFYING GAS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact-sized apparatus for purifying a gas having an improved capability of concentrating CO2, and a method of purifying a gas. SOLUTION: The apparatus 10 for purifying a gas includes a first static mixer 13-1 that mixes a beer-fermentation gas 11A comprising CO2and air with absorption water 12 to separate the CO2from the beer-fermentation gas 11A, a first absorption column 14-1 that causes a beer-fermentation gas 11B to further contact the absorption water 12 to separate the air and CO2, a first stripping column 15-1 that releases the CO2in the absorption water 12, a second static mixer 13-2 that further mixes the CO2gas 16A released from the first stripping column 15-1 with the absorption water 12 to separate the CO2from the CO2gas 16A, a second absorption column 14-2 that separates the CO2gas 16B into air and CO2, and a second stripping column 15-2 that releases the CO2in the absorption water 12. By releasing the CO2absorbed again in the absorption water 12, a CO2gas 16C wherein the CO2is further concentrated to a higher concentration can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
