Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide better, non-invasive, and easier ways to accurately measure amniotic fluid volume to solve the problem that none of the currently used methods for AF volume estimation are ideal. SOLUTION: The method for determining the areas and volumes of structures from an image. A digital image is acquired (410), enhanced (418), and parallel processed by intensity-based segmentation (422) and edge-based segmentation (438) methods. After segmentation by both processes, the images are combined by an AND operator (442), and polished (464).
