Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of light collection onto a light receiving surface for incident light from a slanting direction. SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging element includes: a semiconductor substrate that has a photoelectric conversion element for photoelectric conversion of incident light; an insulation layer that is formed on the photoelectric conversion element; and a color filter and a microlens that are formed above the insulation layer. The color filter, which is provided for each unit pixel, has: a flat upper surface part; a lower surface part having a convex shape in a downward direction, in which its middle part is the thickest in cross section; and a side surface part that has a predetermined thickness between the upper surface part and the lower surface part.
