Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a high magnification and a wide angle while ensuring a reduction in size. SOLUTION: A variable focal distance lens system includes four groups of positive, negative, positive, and positive refractive powers. The second lens group G2 is configured to include, sequentially from the object side to the image side, a negative lens L21 having a concave surface facing the image side, and a cemented lens L22 formed by a negative lens having a concave surface facing the image side and a meniscus-shaped positive lens having a convex surface facing the object side. The third lens group G3 is configured to include, sequentially from the object side to the image side, a cemented lens L31 formed by a positive lens having a convex surface facing the object side and a negative lens having a concave surface facing the image side, and a positive lens L32 having two convex surfaces. Both surfaces R6 and R7 of the object-side negative lens of the second lens group and the most image-side face R10 of the cemented lens of the second lens group are formed in aspheric surface.
