Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a valve chatter produced when a valve opens, in a check valve which is mounted in a bore in a housing or other elements to allow a fluid to flow in only one direction, and which is biased by a biasing member. SOLUTION: The check valve, which includes a ball 12 disposed on a valve seat provided in the housing 10, and a spring 14 disposed on the valve seat in a direction in which the ball 12 is biased, and holds the spring 14 with a retainer 16, has an oscillation dampening construction which allows the spring 14 to restrain the ball 12 in directions parallel and perpendicular to a fluid flow.
