Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a vehicular brake device to appropriately utilize a regenerative braking force in an overall area between a depression starting point and undepressing of a brake pedal for thereby achieving increased regenerating efficiency and high fuel economy. SOLUTION: The vehicular brake device includes an operating force transfer mechanism 70 having a connecting member provided between the brake pedal and a piston of a master cylinder for connecting these members. The connecting member serves as basic hydraulic-pressure braking-force generation limiting means for limiting the generation of a basic hydraulic-pressure braking-force during the depression of the brake pedal 21, when a brake operating state is present between a depression starting state, representing a state of the depression starting point, and a predetermined state, such that the basic hydraulic-pressure braking-force becomes less than a predetermined value. The connecting member prevents an operating force, applied to the brake pedal, from being transferred to the piston when the brake operating state lays between the depression starting state and the predetermined state while permitting the operating force, applied to the brake pedal, to be transferred to the piston after the predetermined state is established.
