Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble of oxygen gas blowing off from a gap between adjacent block units, by effectively suppressing thermal deformation at the leading-edge part of a hot scarfer over a long period. SOLUTION: In the hot scarfer, a lower block 2 equipped with a fuel gas jetting port 4 and an upper block 3 equipped with a fuel gas jetting port 10 are arranged with an oxygen gas passage 9 formed in-between. At the leading-edge part 20 projecting at least further than the tip end part 5 of the fuel gas jetting port 4 of the lower block 2, there is formed a cooling water channel 21 extending in the width direction of the lower block 2. A distance between the inner face of the cooling water channel 21 and the surface of the leading-edge part is set at 3-15 mm. It is desirable that the upper block 3 is similarly structured.
