Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hole-forming machine capable of more highly precisely preventing an inner peripheral face from being irradiated with laser light. SOLUTION: The hole-forming machine 10 forms a through-hole 75 in a wall 68 of a workpiece 66 by directing laser light 70 from the exterior of the workpiece 66 into a hollow part 67. The machine includes a filler 65 which is filled in the hollow part 67 and which is not melted by the laser light 70 and a vibrating mechanism 56 which is disposed so as to be in contact with the filler 65 and which causes vibration in the filler. The laser light 70 impinges on the filler 65. By such impingement, the filler 65 absorbs energy of the laser light 70 and, this absorption can prevent the inner peripheral face 76 from being irradiated with the laser light 70.
