AUXILIARY BATTERY DEVICE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND POWER SUPPLY METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply power enough for self-running of an electric vehicle to a charging station, without affecting regular runs of the electric vehicle, when the electric vehicle causes battery shortage during running and becomes running disabled. SOLUTION: An auxiliary battery device includes a body 9 having an auxiliary battery 1; running support means 210, 410 for supporting the body 9 so as to freely move on a road surface 100; a coupling means 16 for coupling the body to an electric vehicle 31 to be towed thereby; and a connecting means 6 for connecting a wiring 4, from the auxiliary battery 1 to a power supply system of the electric vehicle 31. The method thereof includes support the body 9, mounted with the auxiliary battery 1 by the running support means 210, 410 so as to be freely movable on the road surface 100, coupling the body so as to be towed by the electric vehicle 31, and connecting the wiring from the auxiliary battery 1 to the power supply system of the electric vehicle 31.
