APPARATUS, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR DETECTING ABNORMAL NOISE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, method and program for detecting an abnormal noise from equipment. SOLUTION: When a significant sound continuing over a prescribed period threshold is detected after removing normal sounds produced by the equipment in its normal state from a sound digital signal acquired by two microphones, a characteristic frequency of the significant sound is extracted, and about the characteristic frequency, a first beam forming output value on the equipment side and a second beam forming output value in a direction different from the equipment side are calculated. Then, such the decision is made that the abnormal noise being steady is produced by the equipment when a ratio of the first beam forming output value to the absolute value of the second beam forming output value is equal to or more than a threshold.
