Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for reinforcing an existing building, which can simply and inexpensively reinforce the in-service building, without exerting an influence on a living environment. SOLUTION: This structure for reinforcing the existing structure includes a building frame 20 which constitutes the existing building, and a reinforcing frame 10 which is installed outside the existing building. A notched portion 24 is formed on the outer surface of a balcony 23 which is positioned outside the building frame 20; and the reinforcing frame 10 is joined to the notched portion 24, so that the building frame and the reinforcing frame can transfer a shear force to each other during earthquakes.
