Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving melt viscosity or fluidity of an LCP (liquid crystalline polymer); and an LCP resin composition which has improved melt viscosity and fluidity and efficiently produces a product having a low thickness or a complicated shape at a lower processing temperature while maintaining strength, robustness, and elongation characteristics originated in the parent LCP. SOLUTION: The liquid crystalline polymer composition is used in an electronic component and achieves at least 10% reduction in melt viscosity of the composition when a. a liquid crystalline polymer is brought into contact with b. a monofunctional, bifunctional, or trifunctional compound at a level of 5-250 milliequivalent of the compound per 1 kg of the liquid crystalline polymer, and at a temperature of 200-400°C for 30 seconds to 10 minutes, and then measured at a shear rate of 1,000 sec-1. The monofunctional, bifunctional, or trifunctional compound has a functional group selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, carboxy, carboxylate, ester, and primary or secondary amine, and a molecular weight of 100-300 g/mol, wherein the functional groups of any bifunctional or trifunctional compound are the same and are directly bonded to a carbon of an aromatic ring.
