T TYPE TUNDISH FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING DEVICE HAVING EXCELLENT FLOATING-UP/SEPARATION OF INCLUSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tundish having excellent floating-up/separation of inclusions, which can sufficiently float-up inclusions in molten steel. SOLUTION: The T type tundish of two strands is provided with: an injection chamber 10 charged with molten steel from a ladle; and a distribution chamber 11 charging the molten steel in the injection chamber 10 to a mold; wherein the storage volume of molten steel is 10 to 30 ton, and the maximum depth is 1.0 to 2.5 m. The relation between the half-width W of the distribution chamber 11 and the half-width W1 of the injection chamber 10 is made proper. The relation between the half-width W2 of the recessed part and the distance D of nozzle holes is made proper, and the relation between the depth L1 of the distribution chamber 11 and the length L2 of the recessed part is made proper. Further, the relation between the half-width W1 of the injection chamber 10, the half-width W2 of the recessed part and the depth L1 of the distribution chamber 11 is made proper.
