Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion capacitor that has excellent mass productivity and allows negative electrodes to sufficiently occlude lithium ions. SOLUTION: The lithium ion capacitor 30 includes: a group of electrodes 7, where a positive electrode plate in which aluminum foil W1 is coated with an active material mixture W2 and a negative electrode plate in which copper foil W3 is coated with an active material mixture W4 are wound via a separator 4; a nonaqueous electrolyte; and a cylindrical vessel 8 for storing the group of electrodes 7 and the nonaqueous electrolyte. A laminate, where sheet-like metal lithium is held by copper foil, is disposed in the group of electrodes 7 in advance while the laminate is continuous to the negative electrode plate and is insulated from the positive electrode plate. In the laminate, the metal lithium is occluded by a negative active material for composing the active material mixture of the negative electrode plate, thus allowing only the copper foil to remain for arrangement, and coating the inner-periphery surface of the vessel 8 with polyamideimide.
