COORDINATE INPUT DEVICE AND TOUCH PANEL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device and a touch panel which can highly precisely obtain the detail coordinate position of a position, where the finger and a touch panel are overlapped. SOLUTION: The coordinate input device includes: a peak sensor detection part 11 for selecting a peak sensor by detecting a sensor which outputs the largest output value by using a plurality of output values obtained from a plurality of sensors arranged on a touch panel 10; a periphery consideration correction value calculation part 12 for calculating a correction value under the consideration of the influence of any periphery other than the overlapped section of the finger and the sensor based on the information of the output value of the peak sensor detected by the peak sensor detection part 11 and the information of the output value of a sensor in the periphery of the peak sensor; and a coordinate calculation part 13 for calculating the detail coordinates of the overlapped position of the finger and the touch panel 10 by using the correction value calculated by the periphery consideration correction value calculation part 12.
