Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of adjusting a projector by which an optical element such as a dustproof plate or a liquid crystal panel is easily and precisely aligned relative to a polarizer when the optical element is fixed to the liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: Because dustproof plates 82d, 82e as the optical elements are aligned with a liquid crystal module 82m with a positioning mark 82x that is a structure of a liquid crystal device 82a constituting the liquid crystal module 82m, the alignment for adjusting the arrangement relation between optical axes of the dustproof plates 82d, 82e and polarization axes of the polarization filters 84, 85 as the polarizers is allowed via the liquid crystal device 82a constituting the liquid crystal module. Because proper polarized light is thereby incident on the dustproof plates 82d, 82e so that a light valve is properly operated, contrast of a projection image by the projector 10 is improved, and hence color unevenness is reduced.
