Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of thermal efficiency caused by lowering of combustion efficiency. SOLUTION: The control device of the internal combustion engine is provided with a first operation mode for mixing a low ignitability fuel and a high ignitability fuel in a combustion chamber 8 and a second operation mode for distributing the low ignitability fuel and the high ignitability fuel to different spaces in the combustion chamber 8 separately and switches the first operation mode and the second operation mode using the load applied when the quantity of the low ignitability fuel exceeds a predetermined value as threshold. Thus, optimum switching timing between the first operation mode and the second operation mode is set and deterioration of thermal efficiency can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
