Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer for a welded wire mesh, which does not easily come off the welded wire mesh laid on a deck plate. SOLUTION: This spacer 11, which is constituted by forming one metal wire rod in a bent state, includes two rising portions 13, an iron wire supporting portion 14 which is formed between both the rising portions 13, and a placing portion 15 which is horizontally elongated from each lower end of the two rising portions 13. The iron wire supporting portion 14 includes two downside lateral portions 17 which are elongated almost in parallel at a spacing viewed from a top surface, an arc-shaped portion 18 which rises from the end of each downside lateral portion, and an upside lateral portion 19 for connecting upper ends of both the arc-shaped portions 18 together. The iron wire supporting portion, which is formed in a flat spiral shape, presents an annular shape in viewed from a horizontal direction almost orthogonal to the downside lateral portion. A groove 21, which is elongated in the same direction as the longitudinal direction of the iron wire 12a, is formed on the undersurface of the almost longitudinal central portion of the upside lateral portion 19. Even when the iron wire 12a is lifted through the upward and downward vibrations of the welded wire mesh, the wire rod is fitted into the groove 21, so that the spacer 11 can be prevented from coming off the iron wire 12a by turning in a horizontal plane.
