METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING AND DISCRIMINATING STEEL SHEET OR THE LIKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective inspecting and discriminating method and an apparatus used therefor which dispense with complicated total inspection or sampling inspection after cutting, which greatly improve production efficiency, and which prevent a rejected article from being carried away to the next stage as well as preventing quality trouble at customers. SOLUTION: A member that is cut from a planar material by gas fusion cutting, plasma cutting and laser machining cutting, etc., is collated with data indicating that the member is cut so as to have required dimension, angle, curvature, extracted shape and the like on the basis of actually measured imaging data, so that collation with allowable tolerance after cutting is performed leading to acceptance/rejection and discrimination. In the inspecting method and apparatus, the acceptance/rejection and discrimination are carried out using actually measured imaging data that is photographed and recognized by a CCD camera 1. Thus, the cut member is discriminated by means of the imaging data actually measured by the CCD camera or the like, and a member identification such as a number and a code is indicated on the cut member.
