Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for producing methacrolein and methacrylic acid from isobutylene with high conversion and high selectivity. SOLUTION: The catalyst for producing isobutylene and methyl methacrylate is represented by formula (1): Mo12BibFecAdBeOf[in the formula, Mo represents a molybdenum atom, Bi represents a bismuth atom, and Fe represents an iron atom respectively; A represents at least one atom selected from the group consisting of nickel and cobalt; and B represents at least one atom selected from the group consisting of potassium, rubidium, cesium, and thallium]. The cumulative pore volume thereof is at least 0.3 cm3/g. The volume of a macro-pore therein having a pore diameter of at least 1 μm, is 0.04 to 0.15 cm3/g.
