SOLUTION: There are provided a new antiviral polypeptide called as transforming proliferation factor β-9 and referred as Ztgf β-9 hereafter, and associated compositions. Further, polynucleotide encoding the new mammalian Ztgf β-9 polypeptides, compositions containing an antibody and an anti-idiotypic antibody, chimera polypeptide containing an affinity tag of immunoglobulin Fc polypeptide, and host cells transfected with an expression vector encoding the chimera polypeptides, are provided.
