PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform correction of image distortion due to distortion aberration. SOLUTION: A camera includes: an information acquiring section for acquiring first distortion aberration information on a first image; an operation signal generating section for generating an operation signal showing operation contents by a user; a criterion setting section for setting a prescribed criterion in accordance with the operation signal from the operation signal generating section; a determining section for determining the necessity or not of distortion correction of the first image on the basis of a comparison result between the first distortion aberration information and the set criterion, and an image processing section for correcting the distortion of the first image when the determining section determines that distortion correction of the first image is needed.
