Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field communication system in which troublesome operation is not required for maintenance such as the replacement work of an installed type transceiver, and in which cost can be reduced and reliability can be improved. SOLUTION: In the electric field communication system, an electrode for electric field communication 12 holds electrode ID information 121 allocated to the electrode for electric field communication 12 itself, a server manages a data file 141 of an attenuator setting value, a noise filter setting value, and a threshold setting value which are set for every different electrode ID information. The installed type transceiver acquires the electrode ID information from the electrode for electric field communication, reads out the attenuator setting value, the noise filter setting value and the threshold setting value corresponding to the electrode ID information acquired by referring to the data file of the sever, and respectively and automatically sets the read values into a variable attenuator 1326, a variable noise filter 1325, and a threshold adjustment section 1327 of the installed type transceiver itself.
