PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bottom wall of a can of a lithium secondary battery from being bent inwards when compressed in a direction perpendicular to a vertical axis to increase the safety of the secondary battery. SOLUTION: In the can for lithium secondary battery which is applied to the lithium secondary battery including an electrode assembly formed by winding up a positive electrode plate, a negative electrode plate and a separator interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, and the can into the upper stage opening of which the electrode assembly is inserted to be retained therein, the can 500 is formed by a curved surface formed by protruding a bottom wall 530 outward to a predetermined height, the bottom wall 530 is formed to have predetermined curvatures in directions of short and long sides of the can 500 and includes a plane part which is formed to have a predetermined size on a central part.
