Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a battery for starting an engine of a generator from being brought into a low-charge state even if a start and a stop of the engine for the generator are frequently repeated. SOLUTION: In this refrigerating device (10) for a trailer including the generator (32), the engine (31) of the generator, and an electric compressor (21) driven by the generated power of the generator (32), and performing a vapor compression-type refrigerating cycle in which a refrigerant is circulated, a charger (36d) for charging a battery (35) for starting the engine (31) of the generator is constituted so that the charging current (I) is controllable while applying the generator (32) as a power source. Furthermore, a charging control section (36c) is disposed to control the charging current (I) of the charger (36d). The charging current (I) of the charger (36d) is controlled to a current value to charge the battery (35) with a charge amount corresponding to a discharge amount of the battery (35) by the charging control section (36c).
