IMAGING APPARATUS AND IMAGING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and imaging method in which an image capturing time is shortened. SOLUTION: In an imaging apparatus for reading an image of an imaging object by means of a photodetector 20 comprising a plurality of pixels in a lattice-shaped arrangement, based on information of an image capturing area stored in an image capturing area information storage section 28, a storage address is generated for determining a storage region when storing in an image storage section 26 pixel selection information specifying a pixel, that becomes an image output object, and an image signal. Based on the pixel selection information, a pixel to output the image signal is selected, and the image signal to be outputted is written in the image storage section 26 according to the storage address.
