DEVELOPING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that suppresses wear and degradation of a developer, supplies full charging amount to toner, even when a large number of images of much toner consumption are printed continuously, and will not cause neither reduction in image density nor fogging, and to provide an image forming apparatus which uses the developing device. SOLUTION: In the developing device 2 includes a toner supply device 22, a developing tank 111 for storing the developer, a first conveyance passage P, a second conveyance passage Q, a first conveyance member 112, a second conveyance member 113, and a developing roller 114, there are also included an auxiliary stirring member 118, below the first conveyance member 112, substantially in parallel with the developer conveying direction of the first conveyance member 112; and an auxiliary stirring control device 129 for controlling the rotational speed of the auxiliary stirring member 118, based on the supply amount of the toner supplied from the toner supply device 22.
