Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which electrostatic breakdown of a thin film transistor can be prevented. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a display device which has a plurality of drain lines, a plurality of gate lines intersecting the drain lines, and a plurality of thin film transistors, which is equipped with a driving section to supply driving signals to the drain lines and the gate lines and an electrode terminal to input a control signal to the driving section from the outside, and in which a region surrounded by the drain lines and the gate lines is set to be a pixel region, the method for manufacturing the display device has: a step to form a second wire which exists in a layer identical to the layer containing a first wire to connect the plurality of thin film transistors with one another and to make them operate to generate the driving signal, in forming the plurality of thin film transistors of the driving section, on a region on the outside of the display region being an assembly of the pixels, and which is different from the first wire, and to connect the second wire to at least a pair of thin film transistors; and a step to cut off the second wire on the region on the outside of the display region after formation of the thin film transistors.
