SYSTEM FOR INSTRUCTING EMERGENCY STOP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for transmitting an emergency stop instruction to a train driver in emergency, using existing communication network such as cellular phone communication network. SOLUTION: Communication is made possible through cellular phone communication network between a PC 1 for sending/receiving an e-mail in a direction center and a cellular phone 10 installed in a train driver cabin. If an alarm device 5 in the direction center is invoked, an e-mail containing an emergency stop instruction is sent from the PC 1 for sending/receiving an e-mail to all cellular phones 10 without specifying a railway train in control line section. The cellular phone 10 performs alarm operation such as sounding alarm tone, reproducing alarm message, and blinking a screen, when an e-mail containing the emergency stop instruction is received. This alarm operation continues until the mail is opened. The train driver stops the run of the train immediately based on the alarm operation. The cellular phone 10 receives only the e-mail sent from the PC1 for sending/receiving an e-mail in the direction center, thereby preventing incorrect operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
