Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose a failure of a timer circuit stably and with high reliability in an electronic control device for vehicle on which the timer circuit performing soak timer operation is mounted. SOLUTION: During a self-shut down period since an ignition switch 9 is turned off until operation of a microcomputer 2 is stopped, output of a wake up signal output from a timer IC4 is checked, and validity of a timer IC internal timer is verified.
